Good news for all you Nexus One owners. Google has just announced via Twitter that the handset will receive its Android 2.2upgrade in a few weeks. They’ve also disclosed that Android 2.2 aka Froyo will be made available to OEMs and the Open Source community in the coming weeks. HTC has said earlier that only some of their 2010 Android handsets will be upgradable to Android 2.2 and that those upgrades will only be released in the second half of the year. The Nexus One is getting it quickly mainly because of the fact that it doesn’t have any third-party UI (like HTC Sense) and also because it is officially a Google product (even-though it’s 100% an HTC device).
