What you are seeing here has nothing to do with marketing or PR so don’t get your panties in a bunch. The Windows Phone 7 team held a internal event today to celebrate the shipping of the  RTM version of the OS and have some fun. As you can see in the pictures Microsoft is claiming that Windows Phone 7 buries the competition and also mimicked the funeral of the iPhone and BlackBerry platform. More pictures after the break:

I just got back from an awesome celebration on Microsoft campus to mark the RTM of Windows Phone 7! We had a ton of fun and I wanted to share a couple of my favorite photos from the day to share some of the flavor of the fun! Our engineering and development teams have been working so hard over the last 18 months and it was great to be a part of the celebration of this milestone, this time with a rockin’ parade. There is more work to do, but we are well on our way to bringing Windows Phone 7 to market.
