The folks over at the XDA-Devs forums have been hard at work on porting Android to the HTC HD2 lately. The first is to a a Linux bootloader to work on the device and this is what the video below is all about. They’ve managed to playback a 720P video through it:

Also remember current release of Windows Mobile (based on Windows CE 5) doesn’t “support” 720P playback and that Android doesn’t have this limitation.
