Here’s a short video demonstrating the application loading speeding improvements that are part of the upcoming  Windows Phone 7 update that will be pushed out next months. You will see two Samsung Taylor developer handsets, one running the current retail 7.0.7004.0 OS version and one running an internal 7.0.7353.0 build which includes the speed improvement tweaks. Don’t expect any miracles thought because as of right now and Omnia 7 or even and LG Optimus7 which is the fastest WP7 device when it comes to loading applications, are as fast as the Samsung Taylor that supposedly has the improvement rom (I personally find it ridiculous that MS didn’t demo this one current retail devices instead..):

Keep in mind that these improvements only apply to applications that load their assets directly from the phone memory and not internet connected apps (like Twitter) which will remain super slow unless the developers update the code and implement better state management and tombstoning. The upcoming won’t include and IE Mobile speed improvements either.
