The HTC Droid Eris is officially announced and introduced today by HTC, making it the second Android phone on Verizon’s network. The device is available in stores and online beginning November 6th for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. As you probably already know this is actually the HTC Hero re-branded and slightly modified by Verizon (like Sprint did two months ago). Here’s the press release:
