A rumor started on Twitter yesterday about a supposedly massive Windows Phone 7 update coming early next year that will apparently pack so much stuff “they could have called it Windows Phone 8.” Guess what ?  Rumors are just rumors….and as I said yesterday on Twitter this was totally blown out of proportion. Yes Microsoft is going to release an update in the coming which will include copy/paste and other features (and bug fixes) but nothing “massive”.Anyway, here’s Microsoft’s official statement received by Engadget:

“Microsoft is committed to delivering regular updates to the Windows Phone experience. Our first update will make copy & paste available in early 2011. In addition to this first update, all Windows Phone 7 users should expect to see additional updates delivered in the future as part of Microsoft’s ongoing update process.”
