Sprint is expected to launch their first WinMax handset in the first half of 2010 according to Paget Alves, Sprint’s president of Business Markets. This handset is still rumored to be the HTC Supersonic that we saw a couple of days ago. THe HTC A9292 aka Supersonic is an Android 2.x smartphone featuring nearly the same specs and design as the Windows Mobile based HTC HD2. Following this first device Sprint is expected to launch dozens of other WiMax enabled devices this year according to the company’s CEO.
