Shainiel Deo, CEO of Halfbrick Software developers of Fruit Ninja (not to be confused with his Marketing director), has announced that the Windows Phone 7 version the game has sold in the “high tens of thousands”. Keep in mind that WP7 is priced at $2.99 compared to $0.99 on iOS and Android so “high tens of thousands” so quite good for a platform that has just launched and in the hands of barely 2 Million users (and some of them can’t even buy apps on the Marketplace yet).

Shainiel also complained about Microsoft inability to market and promote the OS:

“I think Microsoft could be doing more to promote the phone and hopefully we’ll start seeing that soon.”
