Windows Phone 7 may be delayed until April 2011 in some countries

One thing that people should remember is that Windows Phone 7 will initially only support five languages: English, French, Italian, German and Spanish (even though you can select any location for the browser and search services). This shouldn’t be that big of a problem for the majority of us but according to Microsoft Netherlands the first Windows Phone 7 handsets may be delayed until April 2011 because Dutch isn’t a supported language yet (and some online services aren’t fully deployed there yet). Microsoft is supposedly discussing with carriers the possibility to launch some handsets in an other language anyway before the end of the year (in English I guess?). Dutch support should come in a future software update to the OS in 2011.
