Sony Ericsson just announced (and retracted the PR a few minutes later) the Symbian (S60 5th Edition ) powered Vivaz smartphone. The Sony Ericsson Vivaz is an HD capable (720P capture) device packing an 8.1Mpix camera coupled with a whole bunch of features like aGPS, Wifi, a 3.5″ 360×640 touchscreen (it is not known yet if it’s resistive or capacitive panel). The Vivaz’s design looks somewhat similar to the Xperia X10 and will be available in several colors: Moon Silver, Cosmic Black, Galaxy Blue, and Venus Ruby. Availability is said to be H1 2010 in North America and across the world. Nice to see SE supporting Symbian, unlike Samsung who dropped it this year.
