According to Motorola’s CEO Sanjay Jha who talked with the WSJ at MWC a few days, the company is now open to the idea of using Windows Phone 7 Series on some of their upcoming handset. Motorola announced last year that they were going to focus on Android and skip Windows Mobile 6.5 (and wait for Windows Mobile 7). At that time, Motorola was heavily involved in the early Windows Mobile 7 (Photon) development but decided to switch all their products to Android (instead of WM6.5) when Microsoft delayed the next generation OS 18Months ago.
