Verizon’s first Windows Phone 7 handset, the HTC Trophy is now officially listed on the carrier’s website with a coming soon date. It has long been known that the big red company was planning on first selling this handset early this year but we have yet to hear about an official launch date. The fact that is is now included in the online catalog is obviously a sign that it finally going to be available in the coming weeks.
Am I the only one who thinks that it is a little bit too late? We already know that a new batch of Windows Phone 7 devices are going to be launched later this year with updated specifications and an added Gyro sensor alongside Mango. Verizon is also hardly going to push the Trophy in terms of marketing given that they are currently the premier Android carrier in the US and have just launched the iPhone 4 not long ago.
