Patience is a virtue, right? Samsung Omnia 7 and Samsung Focus will unfortunately still have to wait for their Windows Phone 7 Nodo and security updates according to Microsoft’s latest post on the situation.
I know some of you are eager for news on the Omnia 7 and Focus issues I discussed last week. We’re making progress, but I don’t have anything new to report just yet. As soon as I do, I’ll let you know.
Missing the security update isn’t that big of a deal but it must be reminded that some Samsung users are still stuck with the RTM or Pre-Nodo update. For those of you currently in this situation I would suggest trying the VPN update trick but even this may not work given that Microsoft has halted all Samsung updates (which means that the bits are probably no longer on the servers). The only good news today is that Telstra costumers in Australia with LG or HTC devices are now receiving the whole update package (7392)
UPDATE: I just received a mail from an Omnia 7 user telling me that he just received the NoDo notification. Can somebody else confirm this please?
