What appears to be the official Gingerbread Android 2.3.3 ROM I9000XXJVK for the Samsung Galaxy S line of phones has just leaked today. Samsung is supposedly going to officially push it through it’s KIES software in the coming days but if you don’t want to wait until then just head over here and grab the file to flash your device. Do this at your own risk and don’t forget to back-up your device.


I unfortunately don’t have my Galaxy S with me now so I can’t try it out but hopefully will do it tomorrow night and shoot a video if there’s anything new in there.

Update: Ok, I just flashed my Galaxy S with it and frankly there’s nothing to be excited about. I was previously running the Froyo JS7 rom which was snappier than what I’m experiencing right now with the JVK. So I’m heading back to JS7 for the time being. My gut feeling tells me that this JVK is probably not the official RTW Gingerbread FW for the Galaxy S…
