It’s starting to look like Microsoft & LG’s alliance was nothing but a PR stunt so far (Windows Mobile was/is supposed to LG’s exclusive smartphone OS). LG announced today that they are going to launch a new Android handset equipped with a Qualcomm SnapDragon chipset in South Korea in Q2 2010. No word on the international release though. So let’s recap, The MS/LG deal was announced in February, since then LG hasn’t announced/released any “new” Windows Mobile device (we knew about the GM730/750 & GW550 before Feb 09) but launched the GW620 Android smartphone and is now announcing a SnapDragon Android device. Hey where’s the LG Monaco?
