Just in case you didn’t know this, the Navigon turn-by-turn GPS application is now officially available on Windows Phone 7 in Europe and in the US. This is the 4.0 version that was announced a few weeks ago (an update from the earlier release bundled on T-Mobile Germany’s handsets).  Based on the users reports I’ve seen this app is highly recommended If you are looking for the best possible offline navigation on Windows Phone . Unfortunately there’s catch for us living in Europe: the price. The US version costs $29,99 while the European version will set you back $69.99. Nice…

UPDATE: Bad news folks.. The prices listed above are just a promotion that will end on November 15th (thanks for the heads up Joe):

In terms of map material, users have two versions to choose from: NAVIGON Europe with 44 countries and NAVIGON USA. From 11 October until 15 November NAVIGON Europe will be available at the reduced introductory price of €59.49 instead of €84.99, the US version for €25.99 instead of €42.49. This corresponds to a price discount of around 30 and 39 percent respectively. The app can now be downloaded from the Windows Phone Marketplace to all devices which run the Windows Phone Mango release.

Once you install the app you will then be required to download the maps which are 1.6GB in size for the US and 2.3GB for Europe. So, Make sure that you have enough storage memory on your handsets before doing anything. here’s the full feature list:
