It didn’t take long for HTC’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 roadmap to leak just one day after the official unveiling of the new platform. According to the Verge’s sources the Taiwanese manufacturer is planning to launch 3 handsets before the end of the year: HTC Rio, HTC Accord and HTC Zenith. Each model will target a specific price point thanks to the new HW chassis flexibility provided to OEMs with WP8. Check out the specification after the break.
HTC Zenith
– 4 inch WVGA (800×480) screen
– Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227
– 512MB of Ram
– 5 Mpix Camera with 720P video recording
HTC Accord
– 4.3 inch Super LCD2 720P screen
– Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8260A (the non-LTE variant of the MSM8960)
– 1Gb of Ram
– NFC support
– 8 Megapixels camera with 1080P video recording
HTC Zenith
– 4.7 inch Super LCD 2 720 screen
– Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (MSM8960T or APQ8064)
– 1GB or more of Ram
– NFC support
– 8 Megapixels camera with 1080P video recording
As you can see from the partial specifications above those seem to be using the non-LTE variant of the Qualcomm SoCs whic menas that they are probably the European variant of the three handset which are said to launch in to phases: first the entry level HTC RIO with mid-range HTC accord and later the HTC Zenith.
