Please let us know in the comments below once you have received your update notification: Phone model, current Firmware/Rom you are running and your carrier please.
UPDATE: Unfortunately Samsung Omnia 7 owners on SFR (France) and T-Mobile (Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Macedonia, Netherlands, UK) won’t get it now…
UPDATE: The notification will on be sent to 10% of the users out there this week and more will follow if everything goes as planned. So don’t panic if you don’t see anything today or tomorrow.
UPDATE: I just posted instructions on how to manually update the Samsung Omnia 7 firmware (that’s not the force trick method at all)
Public Service Annnouncement: Please remember that the Mango update is made of 2 separate updates: OS and Firmware. Most of you are only getting the OS update right now and this isn’t enough for an optimal experience. You’ll have to wait for the OEM Firmware update which contains updated drivers and Radio. You could also try to force the update via the old method.
UPDATE: For all you Samsung Omnia 7 users, the official firmware should look like this (thx to @degsyh and Paul in the comments below):
– Firmware version is now: 2424.11.8.5
– Radio Software version : 2424.11.27.2
– Bootloader: 5.8.1.9
