Microsoft has apparently just unveiled a new low-end Windows Phone 7 hardware chassis today during a conference held in Shinagawa, China. I personally don’t read Chinese but it appears that the minimum Storage requirement is 2GB instead of 8GB like on the regular chassis and the back facing camera can now have a minimum of 3MP sensor instead of 5MP. I would really appreciate it if somebody can translate the rest though. The recently announced ZTE Tania seems to be the first handset to be based on this new mass market chassis.

Who would seriously consider buying a smartphone in 2011 with only 2GB or 4GB of non expandable storage ?
