Engadget had the chance to sit down with Asus CEO, Jerry Shen, at Cebit in Germany today and ask him a couple questions about their future products. When asked about Windows Mobile (Windows Phone 7 Series), Shen answered that Windows Mobile 6.5.3 is a great improvement but he feels that with Windows Phone 7 “it’s the first time Micrososft has really strong determination to win back the mobile phone”. He then talked about how important navigation features are on smartphones (like the A50 I previewed here).

It should also be noted that AFAIK the protoype hadware we saw at MWC (the phone used to demo WP7) was build by Asus.
