Matt Miller of Zdnet has just uploaded a nice video hands-on of the Zune HD browser compared to the IE 6 mobile version shipping now on Windows Mobile 6.1 phones (contrary to what Matt says in the video,the WM6.5 version is an updated version with a new UI and tap to zoom among other features):

Unfortunately the Zune HD is always defaulting to the mobile version of the web pages, hopefully Microsoft will give users the option to select which version they want to browse in a future firmware update. The highlight is that the Zune HD version is just miles ahead of the Windows Mobile version in terms of rendering speed and smoothness. It obviously lacks many features available in the WinMo version,but damn it’s fast!
