First off according to UK internet retailer Clove, Acer is renaming the F1 as the newTouch, the E1 as the beTouch E101, the C1 as the beTouch E100, the L1 as the beTouch E200.

But the big news is that according to Digitmes, Acer is going to start building Android smartphones alonside Windows Mobile (something that Microsft isn’t going to be about I’m sure).

Acer will also continue to cooperate with its current production partners in 2010, outsourcing Windows Mobile- and Android-based smartphones to Compal Communications, while contracting Windows Mobile handsets to Inventec Appliances, indicated the sources
